Abstract

The School Field Introduction and Community Service Program is important for prospective teachers to gain practical experience in applying knowledge and skills in the school environment. This activity aimed to describe the implementation of the program by Physical Education students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur at SMK Negeri 15 Samarinda and its contribution to learning and student development. The method used was school based community service with a service learning approach through direct student involvement for two months. Activities included Physical Education learning, preparation of learning materials, assessment, socialization of manners and ethics, and participation in various school activities. The results showed that students gained experience in managing learning, communicating, collaborating, taking responsibility, and adapting to the school environment. The program serves as contextual learning that supports students’ readiness to become more professional prospective teachers in facing learning demands and daily school activities.
